Xuyi Water Park Inflatable Attraction Upgrade Before Summer Season

In 2018, a water park operator in Xuyi, Huai’an, Jiangsu came to QIQU with a very practical problem.

The park already had a fixed water play structure and spray equipment, but after several years of operation, the attraction mix had become too familiar. The client was preparing for summer traffic and the annual Xuyi Crayfish Festival, a local event that brings strong visitor flow to the area. Rebuilding the site was not realistic before peak season. The better question was: how could the operator make the park feel new again without heavy civil construction?

QIQU supplied a package of commercial inflatable water attractions, support-frame pools, floating play modules, water slides, bumper boats and operating support equipment. The goal was not to replace the client’s existing water play structure. The goal was to use the empty space around it and create more reasons for families to stay, play and return.

Why the Client Needed an Upgrade

The client’s original water play area had one major limitation: the visitor experience was too concentrated around a single fixed water structure. For children and families, that meant fewer play choices and less novelty during repeat visits.

The site also had unused open space beside the existing water area. Leaving that space empty during the summer season meant lost operating potential. Inflatable attractions offered a practical answer because they could be produced, transported, installed and adjusted much faster than permanent construction.

The business logic was straightforward:

• use available space that was already sitting idle
• add more children’s play zones before summer
• create stronger visual themes for families and photos
• avoid major civil construction
• make the equipment removable, adjustable and reusable
• prepare for both the Xuyi Crayfish Festival and school holiday traffic

Custom Themes Designed Around Local Traffic

Xuyi is widely known for its crayfish festival. For this project, the client wanted a crayfish-themed inflatable attraction because it connected directly with local visitor interest.

QIQU developed a custom crayfish-themed inflatable water park structure, along with other themed inflatable attractions such as dinosaur, polar-style and cartoon-style play areas. For international projects, QIQU recommends original themes or legally authorized designs. We do not recommend using protected characters or famous entertainment IP without proper authorization.

What QIQU Supplied

This was not a single-product order. It was a seasonal upgrade package for an existing water park.

The order value was approximately USD 100,000. Because the project was domestic in China, the equipment was delivered in early June 2018 by three 16.9-meter flatbed trucks.

Support-Frame Pools and Water Play Zones

The project included two support-frame pools. The project included four support-frame pools: one pool measured approximately 10 x 30 meters (32.8 x 98.4 ft), and three pools measured approximately 10 x 20 meters (32.8 x 65.6 ft). The equipment was delivered in early June 2018 by three 16.9-meter flatbed trucks (approximately 55.4 ft each), instead of export containers.

These dimensions can be customized according to the buyer’s site, target age group, water depth, operating plan and available space. In many water park upgrade projects, support-frame pools are useful because they allow operators to create new water play zones without building permanent concrete pools.

Installation Before Peak Season

The project timeline was tight. The initial discussion started in March 2018. The client paid the deposit in April. QIQU completed production, delivered the equipment and helped with installation in June before the summer season.

Because the factory was about six hours from the site, QIQU arranged three people to support the installation. The client also prepared around 20 workers. The installation was completed in two days.

The most technical part was the support-frame pool setup. For operators without experience, passing the frame tubes through PVC sleeves and aligning the structure correctly can be difficult. QIQU’s team helped guide the setup and explained practical handling points to the client’s staff.

Water Treatment and Daily Operation Support

For a water park operator, buying inflatable attractions is only part of the job. The site also needs air supply, water circulation, water clarity, disinfection and basic repair ability.

QIQU supplied the main circulation support equipment, including large sand filters and water pumps. We also supplied blowers for the inflatable attractions.

For chemical treatment products such as clarifiers, chlorine tablets, algaecide and sediment treatment chemicals, QIQU recommended reliable suppliers. Some clients prefer to purchase these items directly. Others prefer QIQU to coordinate procurement. Both options are possible.

QIQU also guided the client on daily operation topics such as filter maintenance, water treatment routines, air pressure checks and small PVC repairs using repair material and glue.

Result

The upgraded site gave the operator a richer children’s water play area before the summer season. Instead of relying only on the original fixed water play structure, the park gained multiple inflatable attraction zones, themed slides, support-frame pools, floating modules, bumper boats and interactive play areas.

For the client, the value was not only that the equipment looked new. The real value was that the park could use existing open space, avoid major construction, prepare for festival and holiday traffic, and add more ways for families with children to spend time on site.

Current Product Recommendation

Some historical photos show older fiberglass bumper boats supplied at that time. For current projects, QIQU recommends updated PE rotomolded bumper boats, including pirate-themed bumper boats and other custom designs.

For sites with nearby rivers, lakes or calm water areas, QIQU may also recommend BBQ boats or leisure boats as add-on attractions. These products can extend the business model from children’s play to family leisure, dining and social experiences.

What Buyers Should Send Before Asking for a Similar Project

Project Scope and Photo Transparency

Some photos in this case study show the client’s original water park before QIQU equipment was added. The fixed water play structure, built-in spray equipment, buildings, pools, paving and surrounding site infrastructure belonged to the client’s existing venue.

QIQU did not build the entire water park. Our role was to help the operator upgrade the existing site before the summer season by supplying commercial inflatable water attractions, support-frame pools, floating play modules, inflatable slides, themed inflatable play structures, older fiberglass bumper boats, blowers, water pumps, circulation sand filters and repair materials.

We include the original-site photos because they help buyers understand the real project logic: the client did not need a full rebuild. They already had a working water park, but the attraction mix had become limited after several years of operation. QIQU’s job was to use the available open space around the existing water area and add flexible, seasonal attractions that could create more play zones before peak traffic arrived.
