Why Commercial Parks Choose PE Bumper Boats
Photo feedback from our Shanghai customer, taken on May 7, 2026.
Every amusement attraction creates excitement.
Only a few continue generating revenue season after season.
Commercial bumper boats are not purchased because they look attractive in a catalog. They are purchased because they operate reliably, keep visitors engaged, and continue producing revenue long after the opening day excitement has faded.
That philosophy defines every PE bumper boat built by QIQU.
Instead of designing products around appearance alone, we design them around real commercial operation.
Every engineering decision begins with one question:
Will this help operators reduce downtime, improve guest experience, or increase long-term profitability?
Our current generation of commercial PE bumper boats combines proprietary product design, modified PE rotomolding technology, brushless propulsion, and years of operational feedback from amusement parks around the world.
Whether installed in a public park, family entertainment center, waterfront destination, resort, or seasonal attraction, the objective remains the same:
Deliver more operating days.
Reduce unexpected maintenance.
Create memorable visitor experiences.
Help operators build sustainable businesses.
Designed for Real Commercial Operation
Photo feedback from our Malaysia client, taken in 2025. The Swift Cannon Boat at Elmina Lakeside Mall—Malaysia's first water bumper boat attraction—has become a favorite for family leisure and interactive play.
Successful attractions are rarely the most complicated ones.
They are the easiest to understand.
Guests step onboard.
Turn the steering wheel.
Aim the integrated water cannon.
Laugh.
Repeat.
This simple operating logic allows visitors of different ages to participate within seconds, reducing staff training requirements while increasing ride throughput.
Our hull is intentionally designed to accommodate two adults or one adult with two children, making it suitable for family participation instead of limiting the experience to individual riders.
The larger seating layout also increases operational flexibility for commercial parks where family visitors represent an important customer group.
Unlike attractions that rely on novelty alone, bumper boats remain highly visible throughout the operating day.
Visitors waiting beside the water naturally watch others laughing, splashing, and interacting.
Every ride becomes a live demonstration.
Every collision becomes natural advertising.
Developed Through Continuous Engineering

Original 3D design, paired with our fully in-house production mold.
Every QIQU bumper boat begins long before production.
It begins with design.
The Pirate Series was independently designed by Emily and the QIQU engineering team in early 2023.
The objective was simple:
Create a commercial bumper boat that operators would still appreciate years after installation.
The first design focused on appearance.
Subsequent engineering revisions focused on operation.
Hull dimensions were adjusted to improve passenger comfort.
The steering mechanism was redesigned after repeated impact testing.
The display system was upgraded for improved waterproof performance.
Plastic handles became steel handles after customer feedback.
Electrical architecture was simplified to improve reliability.
Every modification followed the same engineering principle:
Real operating experience should always improve the next generation of products.
Our investment does not stop after a mold is completed.
Every commercial project provides new engineering feedback for future development.
Engineered to Reduce Downtime

Downtime costs money.
Commercial parks understand this better than anyone.
That is why many engineering decisions inside our bumper boats are invisible to visitors but extremely valuable to operators.
Instead of purchasing standard industrial components from the market, QIQU develops its own propulsion system specifically for commercial bumper boats.
Our 24V 600W brushless motor uses pure copper windings and is designed to withstand repeated acceleration, sudden stops, and continuous impact cycles commonly experienced during commercial operation.
We also developed a proprietary steering transmission system that helps maintain responsive steering after collisions.
Unlike simple rudder structures commonly found on many bumper boats, our design improves directional control during repeated impacts without exposing internal engineering details.
Additional upgrades—including waterproof displays, steel control handles, and optional physical key-start systems—were introduced after real customer feedback, further improving long-term operational reliability.
Materials Matter More Than Appearance

Not all PE is the same.
Material selection determines how equipment performs years after installation—not simply how it looks when it leaves the factory.
Our hulls are manufactured using imported industrial polyethylene combined with our proprietary modification formulation.
The material system incorporates advanced UV stabilizers, anti-oxidation additives, impact modifiers, and weather-resistant compounds to improve long-term outdoor performance.
The objective is straightforward:
Maintain structural stability.
Reduce fading.
Improve impact resistance.
Extend service life.
The protective collar uses 0.9 mm reinforced PVC supplied by Sijia, one of China's leading technical PVC manufacturers.
Instead of reducing material cost, we intentionally specify thicker commercial-grade material to provide additional safety margin for continuous operation.
For commercial parks, durability is not a luxury.
It is an operating requirement.
Designed Around Park Operators

Every amusement park operates differently.
Some focus on summer water activities.
Others extend their operating season through family entertainment.
For this reason, our bumper boats support multiple commercial configurations.
Operators may choose integrated water cannons for warm-weather attractions or optional bubble blaster systems for cooler seasons.
Battery systems can also be configured according to operating requirements.
Standard lead-acid batteries provide reliable daily operation for most parks.
Operators expecting exceptionally high visitor volume may choose our proprietary lithium battery system for significantly extended operating time.
Additional functions—including voice prompts, countdown timers, and operational management features—help simplify daily operation while improving visitor experience.
Manufacturing, Testing and Global Delivery

Every bumper boat is manufactured inside our own production system before shipment.
Hull molding, assembly, electrical installation, water testing, packaging, and final inspection follow standardized production procedures.
Before delivery, each boat undergoes functional testing to verify propulsion, steering, electrical systems, and waterproof performance.
For international transportation, detachable canopies and steel-frame packaging help improve container utilization while reducing transportation risk.
Our current loading solution accommodates up to 18 units per 40HQ container, improving freight efficiency for international customers.

Minimum Water Depth
Minimum operating water depth: 60 cm (24 inches).
As long as the water depth reaches approximately 24 in (60 cm) and the bottom is reasonably free of large obstacles, the bumper boats can operate normally.
Saltwater Applications
For marine environments, we recommend selecting the 316 stainless steel motor housing option.
Compared with standard freshwater configurations, marine-grade components provide significantly better resistance to salt corrosion and extend service life in coastal applications.
Important Operating Guidelines
Every commercial attraction performs best when operated under the right conditions. Most unexpected downtime is caused by the operating environment rather than the equipment itself.
Keep the Water Surface Clean
Avoid operating in water heavily covered with weeds, fishing lines, ropes or floating debris.
Even the highest-quality underwater motor can overheat if the propeller becomes wrapped by vegetation or foreign objects.
Protect the PVC Protective Collar
Our bumper boats use 0.9 mm commercial-grade reinforced PVC designed for long-term park operation.
However, like any inflatable structure, it should be kept away from exposed sharp metal edges, broken concrete, rebar or other puncture hazards.
Adult Supervision
Children under 14 years old should always ride with a responsible adult.
This helps ensure safe operation and improves the overall visitor experience.
Life Jackets
All riders should wear properly fitted life jackets during operation in accordance with local safety requirements.
Severe Weather
Suspend operation during thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds or other severe weather conditions.
Protecting visitors always takes priority over continued operation.
Self-Draining Hull Design
Unlike many traditional bumper boats, our hull includes an integrated self-drainage system.
Rainwater entering the cockpit is discharged automatically through the drainage channel, reducing manual maintenance and eliminating the need for operators to pump accumulated rainwater after rainfall.
This helps minimize labor while returning the attraction to service more quickly.
Other Design Options
Not every park is looking for the same visual style.
While the Pirate Series has become our most widely adopted commercial bumper boat, some operators prefer a cleaner and more contemporary appearance.
For those projects, we also manufacture a Sport Series bumper boat built on the same engineering platform, using the same modified PE hull technology, proprietary brushless propulsion system and linked steering structure.
The primary differences are exterior styling, dimensions and seating configuration.
Contact our engineering team if you'd like to compare both models for your project.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about this product.
- Fiberglass bumper boats are still used in some parks, but repeated impact, outdoor exposure and transport can lead to cosmetic cracks and repair work over time. QIQU developed its PE bumper boat around a rotomolded modified PE hull to reduce routine repair pressure and improve suitability for repeated commercial impact. The goal is not only a better-looking boat, but a lower-maintenance operating asset for parks and rental fleets.
- This product is designed for amusement parks, resorts, lake attractions, family entertainment centers, commercial pools, seasonal event operators and distributors. It is especially suitable for operators who need a visually clear, easy-to-understand water attraction that families can use without complex training.
- The recommended minimum operating water depth is about 60cm / 24in. The water area should be reasonably clean and free from large underwater obstacles, exposed metal, sharp concrete edges, ropes, fishing lines and heavy weeds that may affect the propeller or PVC collar.
- Yes. The boats can operate in commercial pools and portable frame pools when the water depth, pool size, entry/exit plan, electrical safety, supervision and local operating rules are suitable. Many buyers use frame pools when they do not have a natural lake or permanent water area.
- Saltwater use is possible, but it requires more careful configuration and maintenance. For coastal or saltwater applications, we recommend selecting 316 stainless steel motor housing and reviewing corrosion-control requirements before ordering.
- Runtime depends on rider weight, driving style, wind, water condition, operating schedule and how often the water cannon is used. Standard lead-acid batteries commonly support about 4-6 hours of operation. For longer daily schedules, lithium battery options can be discussed according to the expected operating hours.
- Bumper boats operate under repeated acceleration, stopping, turning and impact. A brushless motor helps reduce brush-related maintenance compared with traditional brushed motor systems. For commercial operators, the real value is not only motor performance, but reduced interruption caused by routine motor servicing.
- The water cannon is suitable for warm-weather water play and summer attractions. The bubble blaster is a good option for operators who want a drier visitor experience during cooler seasons or indoor-style operations. The preferred option should be confirmed before production because the installation involves mechanical and electrical configuration.
- QIQU’s current packaging and loading solution can fit up to 18 units in a 40HQ container, depending on final configuration and accessories. This is important for distributors and fleet buyers because freight cost per unit directly affects landed cost.
- Yes. Serious buyers can request relevant product photos, factory testing records, packing references, operating videos or public project references according to their target product and market. Some public references are available from real operating venues, including Discovery Green in Houston.
- No fixed online price is listed because the final cost depends on quantity, battery configuration, interactive module, branding, voltage requirements, packaging, destination country and shipping method. For an accurate quotation, send your target quantity, operating site, water depth, destination country and preferred battery option.
- Before quotation, buyers should confirm water area size, minimum water depth, expected number of boats, passenger profile, daily operating hours, freshwater or saltwater use, local safety requirements, battery preference, destination country and whether a frame pool or natural water area will be used.
- In many amusement and rental markets, “aqua boats” is used as a casual name for small water attraction boats. For this product page, QIQU uses the more precise term “commercial PE bumper boats” because it describes the actual product structure: a rotomolded PE hull, electric propulsion, steering control and a reinforced bumper collar for public water attraction operation.
