The Pirate Series was independently designed by Emily and the QIQU engineering team in early 2023.

The objective was simple:

Create a commercial bumper boat that operators would still appreciate years after installation.

The first design focused on appearance.

Subsequent engineering revisions focused on operation.

Hull dimensions were adjusted to improve passenger comfort.

The steering mechanism was redesigned after repeated impact testing.

The display system was upgraded for improved waterproof performance.

Plastic handles became steel handles after customer feedback.

Electrical architecture was simplified to improve reliability.

Engineered to Reduce Downtime

Downtime costs money.

Commercial parks understand this better than anyone.

That is why many engineering decisions inside our bumper boats are invisible to visitors but extremely valuable to operators.

Instead of purchasing standard industrial components from the market, QIQU develops its own propulsion system specifically for commercial bumper boats.

Our 24V 600W brushless motor uses pure copper windings and is designed to withstand repeated acceleration, sudden stops, and continuous impact cycles commonly experienced during commercial operation.

We also developed a proprietary steering transmission system that helps maintain responsive steering after collisions.

Unlike simple rudder structures commonly found on many bumper boats, our design improves directional control during repeated impacts without exposing internal engineering details.

Additional upgrades—including waterproof displays, steel control handles, and optional physical key-start systems—were introduced after real customer feedback, further improving long-term operational reliability.

Materials Matter More Than Appearance

Not all PE is the same.

Material selection determines how equipment performs years after installation—not simply how it looks when it leaves the factory.

Our hulls are manufactured using imported industrial polyethylene combined with our proprietary modification formulation.

The material system incorporates advanced UV stabilizers, anti-oxidation additives, impact modifiers, and weather-resistant compounds to improve long-term outdoor performance.

The objective is straightforward:

Maintain structural stability.

Reduce fading.

Improve impact resistance.

Extend service life.

The protective collar uses 0.9 mm reinforced PVC supplied by Sijia, one of China's leading technical PVC manufacturers.

Instead of reducing material cost, we intentionally specify thicker commercial-grade material to provide additional safety margin for continuous operation.

For commercial parks, durability is not a luxury.

It is an operating requirement.

Designed Around Park Operators

Every amusement park operates differently.

Some focus on summer water activities.

Others extend their operating season through family entertainment.

For this reason, our bumper boats support multiple commercial configurations.

Operators may choose integrated water cannons for warm-weather attractions or optional bubble blaster systems for cooler seasons.

Battery systems can also be configured according to operating requirements.

Standard lead-acid batteries provide reliable daily operation for most parks.

Operators expecting exceptionally high visitor volume may choose our proprietary lithium battery system for significantly extended operating time.

Additional functions—including voice prompts, countdown timers, and operational management features—help simplify daily operation while improving visitor experience.

Manufacturing, Testing and Global Delivery

Every bumper boat is manufactured inside our own production system before shipment.

Hull molding, assembly, electrical installation, water testing, packaging, and final inspection follow standardized production procedures.

Before delivery, each boat undergoes functional testing to verify propulsion, steering, electrical systems, and waterproof performance.

For international transportation, detachable canopies and steel-frame packaging help improve container utilization while reducing transportation risk.

Our current loading solution accommodates up to 18 units per 40HQ container, improving freight efficiency for international customers.

Minimum Water Depth

Minimum operating water depth: 60 cm (24 inches).

As long as the water depth reaches approximately 24 in (60 cm) and the bottom is reasonably free of large obstacles, the bumper boats can operate normally.

Saltwater Applications

For marine environments, we recommend selecting the 316 stainless steel motor housing option.

Compared with standard freshwater configurations, marine-grade components provide significantly better resistance to salt corrosion and extend service life in coastal applications.

Important Operating Guidelines

Every commercial attraction performs best when operated under the right conditions. Most unexpected downtime is caused by the operating environment rather than the equipment itself.

Keep the Water Surface Clean

Avoid operating in water heavily covered with weeds, fishing lines, ropes or floating debris.

Even the highest-quality underwater motor can overheat if the propeller becomes wrapped by vegetation or foreign objects.

Protect the PVC Protective Collar

Our bumper boats use 0.9 mm commercial-grade reinforced PVC designed for long-term park operation.

However, like any inflatable structure, it should be kept away from exposed sharp metal edges, broken concrete, rebar or other puncture hazards.

Adult Supervision

Children under 14 years old should always ride with a responsible adult.

This helps ensure safe operation and improves the overall visitor experience.

Life Jackets

All riders should wear properly fitted life jackets during operation in accordance with local safety requirements.

Severe Weather

Suspend operation during thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds or other severe weather conditions.

Protecting visitors always takes priority over continued operation.

Self-Draining Hull Design

Unlike many traditional bumper boats, our hull includes an integrated self-drainage system.

Rainwater entering the cockpit is discharged automatically through the drainage channel, reducing manual maintenance and eliminating the need for operators to pump accumulated rainwater after rainfall.

This helps minimize labor while returning the attraction to service more quickly.

Other Design Options

Not every park is looking for the same visual style.

While the Pirate Series has become our most widely adopted commercial bumper boat, some operators prefer a cleaner and more contemporary appearance.

For those projects, we also manufacture a Sport Series bumper boat built on the same engineering platform, using the same modified PE hull technology, proprietary brushless propulsion system and linked steering structure.

The primary differences are exterior styling, dimensions and seating configuration.
