Resort Lake Bumper Boat Fleet Case Study: 30 Boats for Heyuan Bavaria Manor
A large tourism resort in Heyuan, Guangdong selected a 30-boat lake attraction from QIQU in 2023, choosing electric bumper boats over a seasonal floating water park to support longer operating seasons and ticketed resort activities.

A Resort Lake Project Built Around a 30-Boat Fleet
Heyuan Bavaria Manor is a large tourism resort in Heyuan, Guangdong, China. Public tourism information lists Guangdong Heyuan Bavaria Manor as a national tourist resort, and the destination is known for resort hotels, hot springs, lake scenery and leisure activities.
In 2023, the resort contacted QIQU to add a commercial lake attraction. This was not a small hotel amenity project. The buyer was planning a ticketed activity for a large resort destination, with enough equipment capacity to support summer visitor demand.
The final order included 30 boats: 20 QIQU commercial PE pirate bumper boats and 10 leisure boats from another model that is no longer part of QIQU’s current product line. For that reason, this case focuses on the commercial PE pirate bumper boats still available for new projects.
The Buyer Compared Water Attraction Options First
The buyer first contacted QIQU on June 30, 2023 and asked for a product catalog. A few days later, the discussion became more specific. The buyer asked whether the bumper boats could include lights and music. QIQU explained that both features were already included as standard.
The buyer also asked how long QIQU had been in this business. QIQU replied that we started this field in 2012 and shared business-license information for company verification.
On July 5, QIQU and the buyer held a 55-minute video meeting. The discussion covered product configuration, lake operation and project planning. This was a serious resort procurement process, not a simple price inquiry.
At the beginning, the buyer was considering two possible directions: a floating inflatable water park or boats for lake operation. QIQU can supply both types of products, but the final decision depended on the resort’s operating goal.
A floating inflatable water park can be attractive in summer, but its operating season is shorter. Bumper boats can be used for a longer period of the year. For this resort lake, the buyer chose boats because they could support a more stable year-round leisure activity.
The Final Fleet Plan
The final project included 20 commercial PE pirate bumper boats. The boats used QIQU’s standard commercial configuration, including water cannon, music, lighting and 24V 600W electric motors.
The boat colors were mainly yellow, blue and green, with matching inflatable bumper rings and canopies. Unless the buyer requests otherwise, QIQU normally matches the canopy color with the boat body for a cleaner visual effect.
The inflatable bumper ring used 0.9 mm Sijia PVC, which is the standard material for this bumper boat model. The buyer did not request custom logos or boat numbering.
The project also included 10 leisure boats from another model. Since that model is no longer offered in QIQU’s current product line, new buyers should use this case mainly as a reference for the pirate bumper boat fleet.
Charging and Operating Rhythm
For a 30-boat fleet, charging cannot be treated casually.
On July 10, the buyer confirmed the boat colors and informed QIQU that the ride would be operated in 15-minute sessions. The buyer also asked what cable capacity would be needed for charging 30 boats.
QIQU suggested preparing a 10 kW charging setup. This gave the resort a clearer direction for arranging charging before the boats arrived.
For large resort projects, this kind of detail matters. The boats are only one part of the operation. The buyer also needs to prepare charging, staff workflow, ticket timing, guest boarding and daily maintenance.
Delivery Under Summer Season Pressure

The buyer paid the deposit on July 12, 2023.
Because the resort was preparing for the summer season, the delivery schedule was tight. On July 18, the buyer also requested operating photos from QIQU’s previous projects for attraction promotion.
QIQU arranged split delivery using two 17.5-meter trucks. The first batch was scheduled for July 22, and the second batch for July 27. The buyer received the boats on July 30.
On July 31, the resort’s internal team tested the boats and became familiar with operation details. The attraction officially opened on August 1, just in time for the summer holiday period.
Lake Cleanliness and Quiet Operation
Selected Sijia PVC material test report by SGS, including EN 71-3 migration of certain elements and phthalates testing.
The buyer also cared about whether the bumper boats would affect the lake environment.
This concern was reasonable. Heyuan Bavaria Manor is a resort destination with lake scenery, hotels and public visitor areas. A water attraction placed in this kind of setting should not feel noisy, dirty or unsuitable for the environment.
QIQU explained that the inflatable bumper rings use Sijia PVC material, and selected Sijia PVC material has been tested by SGS under report No. XMNML1800375403. The report includes EN 71-3 migration of certain elements and phthalates testing.
This should be described carefully. The report applies to the submitted Sijia PVC material sample, not to every possible site condition or local environmental approval. But for resort buyers, having material test documents available is more useful than relying only on verbal promises.
Noise was another point QIQU discussed. Electric bumper boats are much quieter than gasoline-powered water rides. For a resort lake, this is important. Guests should not hear engine noise across the water. In normal operation, the main sound should come from riders playing, children laughing and water splashing.
QIQU also suggested that operating hours should avoid guest rest periods. For resort water attractions, equipment choice and operating schedule should both respect the visitor environment.
A Real Operating Reference for Another Buyer
One of the strongest parts of this case happened later.
In 2024, a Malaysia buyer was considering QIQU bumper boats for a lake project. Before placing the order, the buyer asked where they could see real operation near Guangzhou. QIQU recommended the Heyuan Bavaria Manor project.
The buyer visited the resort on July 5, 2024 and saw the commercial PE pirate bumper boats operating in a real lake setting. After that visit, the Malaysia buyer later ordered 10 QIQU pirate bumper boats for the Elmina Lakeside Mall project in Shah Alam, Selangor.
This is valuable because it was not a staged factory demonstration. It was a real operating resort project that helped another buyer make a purchasing decision.
What Resort Buyers Can Learn from This Case
This project shows that a lake attraction should be selected according to season, capacity, guest flow and site environment.
For resorts with large lakes, bumper boats can offer several advantages. They create visible activity on the water, allow families and groups to interact, support paid sessions, and can operate beyond the short peak season of some summer-only water attractions.
But the buyer still needs to plan the full operation. Before ordering, a resort should confirm the water area, boarding dock, charging zone, ticket duration, staff arrangement, safety rules, life jackets, guest flow and local requirements.
In this case, the buyer did not simply buy boats. They planned a fleet-based lake attraction for a large tourism resort.
QIQU’s role was to supply the commercial PE pirate bumper boats, provide configuration guidance, support charging planning, prepare promotional reference materials and arrange urgent split delivery for the summer schedule.
For a smaller hotel lake project where bumper boats were used as a guest activity, see the hotel lake bumper boat case study.
If you are planning a lake attraction for a resort, scenic area, hot spring destination, tourism complex or outdoor park, send QIQU your water-area photos, approximate lake size, operating season, expected visitor flow and charging conditions. We can help recommend a suitable boat model, starting quantity and fleet layout for commercial operation.
