From a Single Inflatable Character to Seven Orders with a Spanish Event Company
In 2022, Somos La Fiesta, an event entertainment company based in Málaga, Spain, placed its first order with QIQU for a single custom inflatable character.
It was a small beginning. The customer considered the sample acceptable, but the cooperation did not immediately develop into regular purchasing. Over the following years, our team remained in contact, and the company placed another order in November 2024, followed by five inflatable characters in March 2025.
After receiving the March shipment, the customer sent us a short message in Spanish:
“Recibidos y preciosos.”
“Received, and they're beautiful.”
The relationship developed further in 2025 as our Spanish-speaking sales team regularly shared new inflatable designs and discussed upcoming projects with the customer.
Between July and November 2025, Somos La Fiesta placed four additional orders totaling 51 custom inflatable products.
By the end of 2025, the company had purchased 58 inflatable products across seven separate orders.
For QIQU, the value of this cooperation was not simply the number of repeat purchases. It was the opportunity to work with an experienced event operator whose requirements came from actual festivals, parades and commercial entertainment projects.
Meet Somos La Fiesta: A Professional Event Operator in Spain
Somos La Fiesta is an event entertainment company based in Málaga, southern Spain.
According to its company website, the business has been involved in children's entertainment and event services since 1999. Its activities include inflatable equipment rental, live entertainment, themed celebrations, public festivals and events organized for municipalities, schools and commercial clients.
Unlike a buyer purchasing decorations for a single private celebration, Somos La Fiesta needs equipment for different projects throughout the year.
A Christmas event may require illuminated characters and decorative houses. A Three Kings Day parade may need large inflatable figures mounted on moving platforms. Halloween or Day of the Dead celebrations may call for unusual character shapes with distinctive proportions.
Each project brings different requirements for appearance, dimensions, transportation, installation and delivery dates.
This is why the company needed more than a supplier offering a standard catalog. It needed a manufacturing partner willing to discuss individual designs, adapt products to event conditions and respond when new projects arose.

Four Orders in 2025: 51 Inflatables for Different Seasonal Events
The first three orders established the cooperation. The following four orders in 2025 showed how the customer's purchasing needs expanded across different event seasons.
| Order Period | Quantity | Main Products and Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| July 2025 | 7 pieces | Five custom inflatable characters and two Christmas-themed inflatable houses |
| October 12, 2025 | 6 pieces | Four 4 m (13.1 ft) inflatable characters and two 2.5 m (8.2 ft) decorative inflatables |
| October 23, 2025 | 8 pieces | A selection of approximately 4 m (13.1 ft) inflatable characters and seasonal decorations |
| November 2025 | 30 pieces | Multiple inflatable figures, illuminated decorations, seasonal display elements and a large inflatable arch |
| Total | 51 pieces | Four separate orders |
These were not four identical shipments of standard products.
The customer needed different characters, sizes and configurations for seasonal entertainment projects. Some inflatables were intended for stationary displays, while others had to work with parade vehicles or temporary event structures.
The materials also varied by product type. QIQU used 310D Oxford fabric for inflatable characters and 0.55 mm PVC tarpaulin for structures such as inflatable arches and houses.
The product configuration, blower type, lighting and fixing arrangements were discussed according to the intended application.
July 2025: Seven Products for Seasonal Entertainment
The July order included five customized inflatable characters and two Christmas-themed inflatable houses.
The order required different product shapes and dimensions rather than a single repeated model.
As with other custom projects, the team discussed the designs with the customer and sent photographs of the completed, inflated products for confirmation before shipment.
The seven products were shipped by air and received by the customer in time for the intended activities.
This order also demonstrated an important consideration for seasonal event companies: production planning must account for the actual event schedule, not just the date the manufacturer finishes making the goods.
October 2025: Two More Orders for Upcoming Events
In October, the customer placed two separate orders.
The October 12 order contained six custom inflatables, including four approximately 4 m (13.1 ft) tall figures and two smaller decorative pieces.
The October 23 order contained eight more inflatable products, including seasonal characters and decorations.
The customer confirmed receiving these shipments on November 7 and November 22, respectively.
One of the reasons for the additional purchasing was an event opportunity that arose unexpectedly.
During an October conversation, the customer told our sales representative that he had just learned his company had won a large municipal event project. He needed additional inflatable equipment but had not prepared for that purchase in advance.
For a professional event company, this situation creates immediate pressure. The event date may already be fixed, while the required equipment still needs to be selected, manufactured and delivered internationally.
Our team discussed available product options and air freight arrangements with the customer to help meet his schedule.
At the same time, we explained when a proposed production and shipping timeline would be too risky, rather than promising that every requested product could arrive before a fixed holiday.
November 2025: Thirty More Inflatables for Christmas and Three Kings Day

The largest order in this cooperation came in November 2025.
Somos La Fiesta purchased 30 custom inflatable products for seasonal displays and celebrations, including large character inflatables, decorative elements, illuminated pieces and an inflatable arch.
The order involved multiple shapes and dimensions, with some characters approximately 4 m (13.1 ft) tall and other decorations designed at smaller sizes.
The customer paid particular attention to the appearance of the products and how they would be installed during events.
Certain figures needed more compact bases or additional fixing points. Others required internal lighting for evening displays.
Every product was inflated at the QIQU factory for inspection, and photographs were provided for customer confirmation.
All 30 principal products were received by December 18, 2025, in time for the customer's Christmas and Three Kings Day activities.
The international delivery process required close follow-up, particularly during the final distribution stage in Spain. It was a reminder that for event equipment, manufacturing completion and actual delivery are two different milestones.
The delivery process also brought a memorable moment. The customer, whose son-in-law is Chinese, had visited China himself and was familiar with how quickly deliveries could move there. Frustrated by the slow final-mile delivery in Spain, he joked that the same packages would have arrived much faster in China. It was a small, very human moment in a long business relationship—and a reminder of how stressful logistics can become when an event date is approaching.
The Design Challenge: Making an Oversized-Head Character Stand Properly
One of the most interesting technical challenges involved a character created for a Day of the Dead-themed event.
The customer's reference design featured an unusually large head. This oversized proportion was essential to the character's appearance.
However, making the head too large created a structural problem: the inflated head could lean or droop forward.
Simply reducing the head to a conventional proportion would have made the inflatable easier to produce, but it would also have changed the distinctive appearance the customer wanted.
QIQU's designers and production team worked through several adjustments to balance these requirements.
The final solution involved two main changes:
-
Adjusting the head dimensions to preserve the recognizable oversized appearance without making the proportions unnecessarily extreme.
-
Reinforcing the internal support structure to help the inflated head maintain its intended position.
The design was refined through repeated adjustments until the appearance and structure met the agreed requirements.
This is a practical example of why custom inflatable manufacturing involves more than printing artwork onto fabric.
A character may look correct in a reference image but behave differently once enlarged, sewn and inflated. The weight distribution, air pressure, internal construction and proportions all influence the finished shape.
For event companies ordering original decorative characters, these details should be considered before production rather than discovered during installation.
Designing Inflatables for Parade Vehicles and Event Platforms
Another important part of this cooperation was adapting inflatable decorations to the customer's existing event equipment.
Some characters were intended to be installed on parade vehicles rather than displayed on the ground.
For these projects, the customer specified practical requirements such as limited platform space, compact bases, securing points and access for adding internal weights.
For one design, the available base space was approximately 2 Ă— 2 m (6.6 Ă— 6.6 ft).
This meant that QIQU needed to consider the inflatable's overall shape as well as its connection to the supporting platform.
The customer also discussed whether the blower should be built into the character or positioned externally.
For certain moving parade displays, an internal blower helped reduce external equipment around the figure. For stationary installations, an external blower could be more convenient.
These decisions were made according to each product's intended use rather than applying the same blower configuration to every inflatable.
The requested modifications were incorporated into the relevant products.
For actual parade operations, the event operator remains responsible for checking the vehicle structure, fixing arrangements, electrical supply and weather conditions before use. Custom fixing points alone do not establish that an inflatable is suitable for every moving platform.
The lesson for other event companies is straightforward: tell the manufacturer exactly where and how the inflatable will be used before finalizing the design.
An attractive figure that does not fit the available vehicle or display space can create unnecessary installation problems.
Factory Inflation Testing and Customer Confirmation
Because the 2025 orders contained different characters and decorative structures, QIQU could not rely on checking only one representative sample.
Each completed inflatable was inflated at the factory before packing.
The team checked the overall shape, appearance, stitching, blower operation and the relevant accessories or lighting configurations.
Photographs of the inflated products were then sent to the customer for confirmation.
For custom character inflatables, this confirmation stage is particularly important.
Printed details, facial features, oversized accessories and complex character shapes can look different once the product reaches its full size.
Factory photographs allow the buyer to compare the finished product with the agreed design while the equipment is still at the manufacturing facility.
This process also gives both sides a chance to identify visible issues before the products are packed for international transportation.
Why the Customer Continued Choosing QIQU
In November 2025, the customer compared QIQU's prices with another supplier.
For certain decorative products, the competing supplier offered a lower price.
Yet the customer told our sales representative in Spanish that he would prefer to continue placing the order with QIQU because he trusted the team's work and the quality of the products.
That conversation was particularly meaningful.
The customer was not saying that QIQU always offered the lowest price. He was weighing the price against his previous experience with our products and service.
Several factors had helped build that confidence.
Product appearance mattered. The customer had repeatedly complimented the finished inflatable characters, describing them as beautiful and well made.
Spanish-language communication made purchasing easier. Our sales representatives could discuss design details, changes and delivery arrangements with the customer in Spanish.
Responsive service mattered during urgent projects. When the customer needed products for an unexpected event, the team discussed production feasibility and faster shipping options.
Customization was based on real operating conditions. Instead of treating every product as a standard decoration, the team considered platform dimensions, fastening points, character proportions and lighting requirements.
For a professional event company, a familiar supplier who understands these practical details can be valuable even when another manufacturer quotes a lower price.
After-Sales Support When Event Equipment Needs Attention
Commercial event inflatables are repeatedly installed, used, folded, transported and stored. Over time, they may require cleaning, repairs or replacement accessories.
This cooperation also included real after-sales situations.
On one occasion, an internal LED strip had been omitted from an inflatable. After identifying the issue, QIQU arranged to send the missing lighting component.
When a product developed surface marks during transportation, our team advised the customer on gentle cleaning and drying.
In another case, an inflatable character was removed from its parade support and dragged along the ground during an event. The Oxford fabric at the bottom was damaged.
QIQU provided matching repair fabric and instructions to help the customer repair the affected area.
These were practical service issues, not reasons to claim that commercial inflatables never need maintenance.
For equipment rental companies and event operators, access to suitable repair materials and clear technical guidance can be important when products are expected to serve multiple events.
Our discussions with Somos La Fiesta have continued into 2026, including inquiries about additional products.
What Other Event Companies Can Learn from This Cooperation
The experience of Somos La Fiesta illustrates several purchasing considerations for companies organizing commercial festivals, parades and seasonal entertainment.
First, plan around the event calendar. A fixed holiday or municipal event date leaves limited room for production changes and international shipping delays.
Second, provide installation information early. Available floor or vehicle space, the supporting frame, attachment requirements and power supply can influence the inflatable design.
Third, distinguish visual decoration from structural requirements. An oversized character may require internal reinforcement or proportion adjustments to achieve the intended appearance when inflated.
Fourth, confirm accessories individually. Built-in lighting, blower configuration, fixing points and repair materials should be checked against the final order requirements.
Finally, assess a supplier beyond the initial quotation. Design communication, product inspection, shipping coordination and after-sales support can all affect the practical cost of operating equipment across multiple events.
For Somos La Fiesta, the cooperation grew from a single custom inflatable in 2022 to seven orders totaling 58 pieces by the end of 2025.
The four orders placed between July and November 2025 alone accounted for 51 products.
More importantly, they reflected the changing needs of a professional event operator purchasing decorations for different seasonal projects—not simply repeating the same product order.
