How QIQU Supplied 768 Custom Dolphin Skating Aids to a Czech Skating Brand
Czech skating equipment brand TEMPISH sourced custom dolphin skating aids from QIQU to expand its product range. From 2023 to 2026, QIQU delivered 768 units across three orders, featuring molded-in OEM branding, modified PE bodies, and 304 stainless steel runners. During the third order, QIQU also optimized carton dimensions, increasing 40HQ container capacity from 240 to 260 units.

When Czech skating equipment brand TEMPISH wanted to expand its product range, it contacted QIQU through our website to source a dolphin-shaped ice skating aid under its own brand.
What began as a product inquiry in 2023 developed into a continuing OEM supply relationship. Across three orders, QIQU delivered 768 custom dolphin skating aids to TEMPISH between 2023 and 2026.
The project involved more than adding a logo to an existing product. TEMPISH had specific requirements for branding, stainless steel components, chemical testing, and packaging. As order volumes increased, QIQU also improved the shipping cartons to fit more units into a 40-foot high-cube container without changing the product itself.
This case documents how the partnership developed, the manufacturing decisions made along the way, and the results supported by actual purchase and delivery records.
How the Partnership Started
TEMPISH is a Czech brand specializing in skating and roller sports equipment, including ice skates, inline skates, accessories, and products supplied to skating facilities and rental businesses.
The company was looking to broaden its skating equipment range and found QIQU through our independent website. After the initial contact, discussions continued through WhatsApp.
Rather than starting with an entirely new product design, TEMPISH selected QIQU's existing ride-on dolphin ice skating aid.
The dolphin-shaped aid supports two ways of use: children can sit on the body while being assisted, or hold the integrated handles for support while learning to skate. The product was already manufactured using a rotational molding process, allowing the project to focus on brand customization and the customer's specific component and packaging requirements.
TEMPISH intended to offer the product through its own sales channels, including the market for skating facilities and rental equipment.
Turning an Existing Dolphin Model into a Private-Label Product
Molded-in Logo Design and Approval
One of TEMPISH's main requirements was to have its brand incorporated into the dolphin body.
The customer wanted a durable logo rather than a surface-applied sticker. During the design process, both teams discussed the logo's dimensions, placement, recessed appearance, and the rectangular boundary created by the molding process.
The chosen position was on both sides of the dolphin's tail.
After several rounds of discussion and design review, the customer approved a logo measuring 15.5 × 1.9 cm. TEMPISH also accepted the rectangular outline required by the agreed molding method.
QIQU modified the rotational mold so that the branding would be formed directly into the polyethylene body during production.
This approach meant the logo was part of the molded product surface rather than a separate adhesive label. The customer accepted the additional tooling cost and approved the finished appearance before the production order proceeded.
The final units carried TEMPISH branding rather than QIQU branding, supporting the customer's private-label product range.
Color Selection and Stainless Steel Components
TEMPISH selected its colors from QIQU's existing options. Although other colors were discussed during the early development stage, the actual orders consisted of blue and red dolphin skating aids.
Both color versions used the same product structure and configuration.
The dolphin bodies were produced from modified polyethylene (PE) using rotational molding. Each body measured 90 × 54 × 85 cm and weighed approximately 7 kg before the skating runners were fitted, or approximately 7.8 kg with the runners installed.
The customer also paid close attention to the metal components connecting the runners to the molded body.
TEMPISH requested 304 stainless steel runners, screws, and connecting hardware. During component review, the customer identified a difference between the proposed connecting rings and the reference parts. QIQU replaced the rings according to the customer's requirements.
The runners and fastening components were supplied for installation after delivery rather than being permanently attached before shipping.
These details were important to the customer because the skating aid would be sold as a branded product, with the appearance and component configuration needing to remain consistent across orders.
From the First Order to Two Repeat Orders
Following the initial product development and customization discussions, TEMPISH placed its first production order on August 3, 2023.
The order consisted of 240 dolphin skating aids, equally divided between blue and red versions.
Two more orders followed, using the same approved product design and OEM branding.
| Order | Order Date | Blue Units | Red Units | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First | August 3, 2023 | 120 | 120 | 240 |
| Second | March 12, 2024 | 240 | 0 | 240 |
| Third | December 18, 2025 | 220 | 68 | 288 |
| Total | 580 | 188 | 768 |
All three orders were completed and delivered, with the third shipment reaching the customer around late April 2026.
The second and third orders did not require a new product development cycle. TEMPISH continued ordering the established dolphin model with its existing brand customization, adjusting quantities and colors as needed.
The customer did not provide detailed retail sales figures or a formal performance review. However, the purchase records establish a continued commercial relationship involving three completed orders rather than a one-time trial shipment.
As of 2026, QIQU and TEMPISH remain in contact and are discussing a potential fourth order.
Production, Inspection, and Material Documentation
Unit-by-Unit Pre-Shipment Checks
The dolphin skating aid was already an established rotational-molded product in QIQU's production range.
Using an existing mold and a consistent modified PE material supply allowed the production team to maintain the same approved product configuration across the three orders.
Before shipment, QIQU individually inspected each dolphin skating aid. The checks covered:
-
Overall appearance and selected color
-
Molded TEMPISH logo and surface finish
-
PE rotational-molding quality
-
Stainless steel runners
-
Screws, connecting hardware, and supplied accessories
The metal parts were checked before packing, while the customer handled final runner installation after receiving the products.
QIQU did not conduct a separate ice-surface performance test for every unit in these orders. The pre-shipment inspection records therefore relate to appearance, manufacturing quality, and supplied components rather than verified skating performance under actual rink conditions.
For the third order, QIQU completed production ahead of the customer's requested shipping schedule. The finished units were packed into cartons and held in the factory warehouse until TEMPISH authorized shipment.
REACH SVHC Testing for the Red Sample
During the initial development discussions, TEMPISH requested chemical testing documentation for the skating aid.
In response, QIQU arranged a REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) test through Shenzhen ZTS Testing Service Co., Ltd.
The laboratory received the sample on February 27, 2023, and issued report ZTS23022711HRS on March 3, 2023.
The report covered 233 SVHC substances and recorded a PASS result. Its sample photographs show a red dolphin skating aid.
This was a test of the submitted sample against the specified 2023 SVHC list. It should not be interpreted as independent certification of every color, every component, or later additions to the SVHC Candidate List.
The testing process illustrates the importance of addressing a distributor's documentation requirements before moving into ongoing commercial supply.
Improving Container Capacity Through Carton Optimization
The first two orders each involved 240 dolphin skating aids shipped using a 40-foot high-cube container.
For the third order, TEMPISH increased its purchase quantity to 288 units.
This created a practical shipping challenge: the original packaging arrangement was based on approximately 240 units per 40HQ container.
Rather than changing the product dimensions or the established two-unit carton configuration, QIQU reviewed how the dolphins were packed.
The factory reduced the external carton dimensions while retaining two dolphin skating aids per corrugated cardboard carton.
The optimized carton measured:
102 × 87 × 57.5 cm (40.2 × 34.3 × 22.6 in)
Each carton contained two units with a combined gross weight of approximately 17 kg (37.5 lb).
The revised arrangement increased the number of units that could be loaded into a 40HQ container.
| Loading Configuration | Before Optimization | After Optimization |
|---|---|---|
| Units per carton | 2 | 2 |
| Cartons per 40HQ | 120 | 130 |
| Dolphin skating aids per 40HQ | 240 | 260 |
The change increased container capacity by approximately 8.3%, allowing 20 additional skating aids to be loaded into the same container type.
This improvement was initiated by QIQU during preparation for the third order. TEMPISH was not directly involved in redesigning the cartons, and the customer did not subsequently report a packaging problem after receipt.
Of the 288 units in the third order, 260 were loaded into one 40HQ container. The remaining 28 units were shipped together with other cargo arranged by the customer.
The result was a measurable improvement in loading efficiency without changing the dolphin's dimensions, the approved OEM branding, or the two-unit carton format.
Shipping Around the Distributor's Seasonal Inventory Plan
For skating equipment distributors, production schedules and shipment dates do not always coincide.
The timing of the third order was influenced by TEMPISH's inventory planning for the European skating season.
Although the order was placed on December 18, 2025, the customer did not require immediate shipment after production was completed.
QIQU finished manufacturing the 288 units in advance, packed them, and stored the finished cartons at the factory.
The company then waited for the customer's shipping instructions.
The third order was delivered around late April 2026, consistent with the customer's planned delivery schedule.
All three orders were handled under FOB trade terms, with TEMPISH arranging its own freight forwarder.
This arrangement allowed the customer to retain control over international shipping while QIQU coordinated production completion, packing, and cargo readiness around the agreed schedule.
What This Long-Term OEM Partnership Demonstrates
The TEMPISH project began with an existing dolphin skating aid and a request for private-label customization.
Over the following three orders, the cooperation developed into a continuing supply relationship covering 768 delivered units, including 580 blue and 188 red dolphin skating aids.
Several practical aspects of the project stand out.
The customer's branding was integrated into the rotational mold rather than applied as a removable sticker. Metal components were reviewed and adjusted to meet the requested configuration. Each unit underwent pre-shipment appearance and component inspection. When the third order exceeded the previous container capacity, QIQU improved the packaging arrangement to increase the number of units per 40HQ by approximately 8.3%.
The factory also accommodated the customer's seasonal inventory schedule by completing production in advance and holding the packed goods until shipment was authorized.
These are documented manufacturing and fulfillment decisions, not estimates of the customer's retail sales or skating-rink operating performance.
For skating equipment brands, distributors, and commercial rink suppliers considering private-label products, the project offers an example of how an established design can be adapted for branded distribution and supplied consistently over multiple orders.
