305m Double-Lane Inflatable City Water Slide for an Austrian Event

In 2026, FF Ulrichschlag in Austria ordered a custom double-lane inflatable city water slide from QIQU after finding the product through the company's independent website. The final design measured 305 m in total, comprising a 300 m main sliding section and a 5 m extended end section for water collection and deceleration. QIQU completed production on July 6, tested each section individually, and shipped the system under DDP terms. The customer confirmed delivery on September 21, 2026.

305m Double-Lane Inflatable City Water Slide for an Austrian Event

From a 300 m Plan to a 305 m Custom Water Slide

In May 2026, QIQU received an inquiry from Austria through our independent website. The customer was looking for a large double-lane inflatable water slide for an outdoor event and had found a 300 m (984 ft) example on our Commercial Inflatable City Water Slide product page.

The customer was associated with FF Ulrichschlag (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Ulrichschlag), a volunteer fire brigade in the Waidhofen an der Thaya region of Lower Austria.

The organization has an established connection with local water-slide events. Public records document its involvement in WQ Splash, including a 2025 event at Ulrichschlag. Earlier water-slide activities in the area had also been reported by local media.

These earlier events were not QIQU projects. They provide background on the customer's event environment, rather than evidence of a previous purchasing relationship with us.

For the 2026 order, the customer wanted a two-lane inflatable slide with a total length of approximately 300 m (984 ft), suitable for a large outdoor sliding event.

After discussing the configuration and receiving product information from QIQU, the customer proceeded with a custom design.

What made this order particularly interesting was not its length alone. The customer raised two practical design requirements during the discussion: a longer water-collection area at the finish and a revised anchoring arrangement between the sliding surface and the inflatable side tubes.

Both changes were incorporated into the project before production.

Why the Final Length Became 305 m (1,001 ft)

The original request was for a 300 m (984 ft) double-lane water slide, divided into ten sections of 30 m (98.4 ft) each.

During the quotation and design discussions, the customer requested an additional 5 m (16.4 ft) at the end of the slide, where water would collect and participants would finish their descent.

This changed the final configuration to:

Section arrangementFinal specification
Standard sections9 × 30 m (98.4 ft each)
Extended final section1 × 35 m (114.8 ft)
Main sliding length300 m (984 ft)
Additional end-section length5 m (16.4 ft)
Total installed slide length305 m (1,001 ft)
Number of sections10

The extra length was incorporated into the final section rather than added as an unrelated product.

This distinction matters when evaluating a large inflatable slide project. The end section is part of the complete sliding route and needs to be considered alongside the landing arrangement, water collection, site conditions, and operating procedures.

For this order, the revised dimensions were discussed with the customer and reflected in the updated quotation and design.

Two Parallel Lanes with a Shared Inflatable Structure

The customer selected a double-lane configuration using a shared inflatable structure, with a raised inflatable divider between the two sliding lanes.

Unlike two separate slides positioned next to each other, this design combines both lanes into one coordinated system.

The approved layout included:

ComponentMetric dimensionsImperial dimensions
Wider sliding lane2.4 m7.9 ft
Narrower sliding lane1.5 m4.9 ft
Central divider area0.9 m3.0 ft
Overall slide width4.8 m15.7 ft
Total longitudinal length305 m1,001 ft

The customer chose blue for the sliding surface and green for the inflatable side tubes, divider, and supporting arch structures.

The arches provided fixing locations for the customer's planned water-supply arrangement. QIQU also reserved attachment positions along the side structures.

The water pipes, spray nozzles, pump, and connecting accessories were to be supplied and arranged by the customer. QIQU's supply responsibility covered the inflatable slide structure and its blowers.

This separation was agreed during the purchasing process, allowing the customer to arrange the water distribution according to local site conditions.

How Customer Feedback Changed the Anchoring Design

One of the most valuable discussions during this project concerned the connection between the blue sliding surface and the green inflatable side tubes.

The customer described a problem previously encountered with equipment from another supplier.

When participants made contact with the side tubes, lateral forces had damaged the connection between the blue sliding layer and the green inflatable structure.

This was not a defect reported on a QIQU product. It was a concern the customer wanted to address in the new design.

Initially, the discussion focused on the conventional D-ring attachment positions along the green side tubes.

The customer requested a different arrangement. Instead of transferring the fixing forces only through the green tube, the reinforced attachment needed to engage both the side tube and the blue sliding layer.

QIQU's design team reviewed the request and prepared a revised reinforcement-strap detail.

The proposed solution used a reinforced webbing attachment that extended across the connection between the two areas, allowing the fixing point to be supported by both the blue and green sections.

The designer supplied updated drawings showing the arrangement and dimensions of the reinforced attachment.

The customer reviewed the revised proposal and confirmed that QIQU could proceed with this design.

This is a useful example of why detailed communication matters in custom inflatable equipment manufacturing.

The customer did not simply ask for a different color or a larger size. A specific concern about how the product would behave under lateral loading resulted in a change to the construction detail before production.

The revised connection was then incorporated into the manufactured slide.

Material Selection and Production

The Austrian order used 0.55 mm (0.022 in) commercial PVC-coated fabric from Sijia, matching the material specification agreed for the project.

The main construction process used high-frequency heat welding, with reinforcement at relevant connection and anchoring areas.

The blue sliding surface was permanently joined to the main structure rather than supplied as a removable replacement liner.

Because the complete slide measured 305 m (1,001 ft), production was organized around the ten specified sections.

Each section was manufactured according to the confirmed design, including the lane arrangement, inflatable side tubes, central divider, arches, and connection details.

The customer paid the deposit on June 1, 2026. QIQU completed production on July 6, 2026.

This was a familiar type of product for our factory, rather than an experimental design. The main task was to manufacture the agreed dimensions accurately and incorporate the customer's requested reinforcement detail.

Ten Sections, Ten Blowers, and Individual Factory Testing

Each of the ten inflatable sections had its own air chamber and was configured with a dedicated 550 W blower.

The electrical specification was 220 V / 50 Hz, with European-standard plugs for the Austrian destination.

For a slide of this length, the modular arrangement was important for production, factory handling, inspection, packing, and on-site assembly.

QIQU performed inflation checks on every section, rather than relying on random sampling.

The factory inspection covered the appearance and dimensions of each section, welded seams, air leakage, blower operation, module connections, and fixing points.

The individual sections were inspected at the factory. The complete 305 m (1,001 ft) installation was not assembled as a full-length outdoor system in China.

Instead, QIQU supplied the required connection information and installation guidance for the customer to assemble the sections locally.

Production photographs and testing videos were shared with the customer before shipment. After reviewing the finished equipment, the customer confirmed that QIQU could proceed with delivery.

The customer's separate water-supply system was not part of the factory inspection, as the pipes, spray fittings, and pump were to be arranged locally.

Packaging and DDP Delivery to Austria

After production and customer confirmation, QIQU organized the export shipment under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms.

The slide itself weighed approximately 2,262 kg (4,987 lb) and was packed into ten separate packages, consolidated onto three pallets.

The ten blowers were packed in individual cartons with a combined weight of approximately 150 kg (331 lb), consolidated onto another pallet.

PVC storage bags were used for the inflatable sections, allowing the large installation to be divided into manageable packages for transport.

The order also included 800 swimming rings with a diameter of 120 cm (47.2 in) and a separate inflatable bouncer measuring 8 × 5 m (26.2 × 16.4 ft).

These were supplementary items in the same order. The main focus of the project remained the 305 m (1,001 ft) double-lane water slide.

The principal project milestones were:

Resolving a Missing-Items Issue After Delivery

International delivery does not always end the moment the main shipment arrives.

When the customer received the equipment in September 2026, they reported that the blowers and swimming rings were not present with the items they had received.

QIQU followed up with the freight forwarder to investigate.

The issue was traced to an omission by the freight forwarder, rather than the items being absent from the original order.

Through subsequent coordination, the omitted items were successfully located and recovered.

This was a real issue during the delivery process, and it required follow-up after the main shipment had reached the customer.

For a commercial equipment project, coordinating the resolution of such problems is part of the responsibility involved in fulfilling an international order.

What This Project Demonstrates

The confirmed scope of this case covers the customer's initial inquiry, design revisions, production, individual section inspections, international shipment, and follow-up on the delivery issue.

The project provides several concrete examples of how QIQU works with commercial inflatable equipment buyers.

First, a standard 300 m (984 ft) concept was adjusted to a final 305 m (1,001 ft) design to meet the customer's requested end-section arrangement.

Second, a specific concern about side-tube loading led to a revised reinforced connection between the blue sliding layer and green inflatable structure.

Third, the complete system was manufactured as ten independently inflatable sections, with each section inspected before shipment.

Finally, QIQU continued coordinating with the freight forwarder when the customer reported missing items.

At the time of this case study update, the customer had confirmed receipt of the shipment. QIQU had not yet obtained verified installation photographs, event operating images, or measurable attendance results for the new slide.

For that reason, this article documents the confirmed manufacturing and delivery process without making claims about visitor numbers, operating revenue, or the performance of the attraction in use.

Planning a Commercial Inflatable City Water Slide?

A large inflatable city water slide involves more than choosing its overall length.

Buyers need to consider the number and width of lanes, section connections, inflation requirements, anchoring details, water supply, landing arrangement, installation site, and transport plan.

QIQU can manufacture custom commercial inflatable water slides in different lengths, lane configurations, colors, and structural arrangements according to the confirmed project requirements.
